cwbalmer Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Quick question - I have have the original BS purchased and installed through Steam - will this mean that I can purchase and install/use the upgrade to BS2 from here? I don't have to wait for it to come out on Steam do i? Hope not!! Thanks in advance.
lanmancz Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Just download the installer from digitalcombatsimulator.com ... it will recognize that you have the steam version (you need to have it installed) and thats it ... it worked for me fine ... you can then delete the steam instalation of BS1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Elite, Intel i9 9900K, Fractal Design Kelvin S36, Zotac GTX 1070 8GB AMP Extreme, 32GB DDR4 HyperX CL15 Predator Series @ 3000 MHz, Kingston SSD 240GB (OS), Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2 NVMe (sim), Fractal Design Define R5 Black Window, EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2, Win 10 Home x64, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Pack, TrackIR (DelanClip), 3x 27" BenQ EW2740L, Oculus Rift S
EtherealN Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Ianmancz is correct, the Upgrade version will detect Steam versions of BS1. cwbalmer Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 Magic - thanks fellas. Just wanted to be safe!!
EtherealN Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Only thing you need to keep in mind is that the Steam version of BS1 needs to be installed and operational when installing the Upgrade version of BS2. (That is, having it on your steam account is not enough - it needs to be actually installed on the machine, AFAIK.) cwbalmer Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 Sure - its all installed via Steam already so I will give it a pop after downloading the torrent from dcs.com - ooh and then paying for it!
Jona33 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Paying is easy, the download for me killed my computer. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
