Unreadable text and crashing on MP missions

Hi all,

 

I'm having a very strange issue on some multiplayer missions. All of the game's UI text appears corrupted. You can see in detail what I mean on the following screenshots:

First shot is from the spectators' screen, second is from the mission briefing.

 

In one attempt I was able to get into the cockpit, but again, all the game's messages appeared corrupted like that. Everything in the cockpit looked fine (CDU, CM panel, HUD etc). On another attempt to load the mission and get into the cockpit, the game crashed.

 

This only happened on two particular multiplayer missions I joined, but since one of these missions was hosted by the 74th VFS [as the guys there are experts, plus nobody else is having any issue with it], I'm guessing it's my system's fault exclussively and not the mission's. I never had any such behaviour on single player missions (never had problems with Dragon's and Thesor's training packs, for example).

 

I have attached my DxDiag.

 

Does anybody have any clue about this? Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi mate,

 

Sorry we wern't able to help you further. I do remember cornerspeed having this problem agaes ago - Beta04, and it was resolved with a new full install.

 

I'm not suggesting to do that yet until some others have replied. Hold out, it'll get fixed fear not.

 

Then come back and enjoy yaself.

Indeed, I will try a fresh installed if nobody replies by tomorrow.

Sometimes when I get corrupted text, I alt+tab out of the game and pull it back up. Seems to 'reload' the graphics and resolves the text problem.

Everything is OK now, after uninstalling and reinstalling!
