Jep, your thinking is correct^^

 

You do not need to use target for anything I mentioned.

And trim hat/view, TrackIR and the rudder axis are all unrelated of one another.

 

You change the TrackIR comands in the TIR software,

map the trim hat to actually trim in the DCS commands menu and

assign the rotary to the rudder in the DCS commands menu.

 

 

By default, you trim the plane with STRG-Key plus the Trim hat.

Possible, but unneeded as you have a TrackIR. More intuitive and "HOTAS-like".

I tthink there are even some images around here that show how you do this. I could make one tomorrow, though.

Got it up and running now and it really is excellant - far superior to the x52 I tried previously!

 

Final question for MTFDarkEagle please can you send some of these profiles you offered earlier - I particularly need one for Lock ON 1or2 but any others would be greatly appreciated! (prefered format would be LUA as I think this means they can just be loaded in game?)

mac22: PM me your e-mail adress. Note the profiles I made are for TARGET. I'll let you know in the e-mail I'm going to send you how to load the profile into target. The profiles I have now are for the Ka-50 (BS1 is complete, BS2 I'm still working on, but it's quite similar) and the Su-25T for FC2.
