I was going to try my hand at some mission building for ground pounding and I was wondering if anyone had any info/links to info on the placement of SAMs and method/numbers of placement.

i.e Russia/Ukraine has x amount of Iglas and a brigade/battalion has x amount issued to it etc.

Any info would be helpful thanks.

EDIT: sorry just noticed the missions sub-forum. Could a mod move this to there or delete this and i will retype in proper forum.

No worries mate, my pleasure :)

My foreign language skills are kak, but you can often find some good stuff on non-English sites like

http://www.checksix-fr.com

http://www.alasrojas.com/Descarga/lomac/ficheros.htm

http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/?lang=en

Wish I could find more.....

Hehe...be careful about using English slang like "kak" on a .ru forum. Some of our Russian members are likely to say "what the hell is he talking about?" FYI-"kak" is the Russian word which translates to "what" or "how". ;) Heh...don't take my post too seriously, just making a humorous observation.

Roger that. I didn't mean to imply that it wasn't ok, just making an observation. Just trying to avoid the possible cross-translation that falls through an incidental rip in the space-time continuum and precipitates an intergalactic war which eventually sets its sights on destroying the origin of the words, the Earth. It'll probably be ok for us though, its very likely that the alien fleet will make a horrible miscalculation of scale and end up being swallowed by a small dog. Heh...I'm a big Douglas Adams fan. :D

Hey IguanaKing - that bit of Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy still makes me laugh :D

Donkey ARM505 ! ;) By the way Donkey = Thanks in Africaans (I think/hope), that's really pushing the limits of my language skills.

Me too, Brit Radar Dude, I read every book in the "trilogy" years ago. I just recently bought the DVD of the original TV series. Only 6 episodes, but a great DVD nonetheless. I loved the conversation in the airlock...

Arthur: You know, its times like this when I'm stuck in some alien airlock, about to be blown into space, knowing that I'm going to die with the likes of you that I wish I had listened to my mother.

Ford: Oh...your mother? What did she say?

Arthur: I don't know!!! I wasn't listening!!!
