how to run sioc by oakes and helios together?

Hello all,

 

first of all sorry for my bad english, i am not a native speaker. And, of course thank to all for this great forum for the A-10!!! It helped me to get my pit to work.

 

Here is my problem:

 

I am using helios for the output of all the instruments on two additional TFT`s over eyefinity. Also exporting the two MFD's and the RWR by editing the Monitor setup. My physical switches are connected with IOCards using sioc and the great programming work of oakes.

 

So, now SIOC and Helios are editting the export.lua file to get the transfer over udp to work. The sioc file alone works, also the helio file alone. But all my attemps to merge these two files in one export.lua didn't work. I tried to create another udp connection (in my case named d instead of c) but it didnt work at all.

 

By the way: I always hear about an error.log file of the lua scripts, but I cannot find it anywhere.....can anybody help?

try asking on helios forum,

I think you can run other files by adding them into the export setup page but not sure if it works with sioc,

you can do it with tars etc..

You don't want to "merge" the scripts as this will break every time Helios is upgraded. Helios can daisy chain other scripts. There is already a "3rd Party" script I posted in the Helios forums which can be used to cascade Oakes SIOC with Helios. I'm at work and can't search through and find it right now. I'll try and find it to link later tonight.
