dooom Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I would like to add to the wish list the following: - Please consider the possibility of having ME "sound to all" and "sound to coalition" be complimented with a "sound to frequency" In this manner a mission designer could choose certain frequencies to broadcast user created .ogg files and add to the realism of a mission. Furthermore, I would like to see it allow for the client to be able to "turn up and down " the volume of the triggered sound to their liking... or even squelch for that matter if the comm is immaterial. Not sure if this is possible but it would be nice. dooom Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 hmm no one sees value in this? as a mission designer, i really hope ED sees this. EvilBivol-1 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) Already implemented in internal versions and should be included in the next public release (no promises!). Two trigger actions have been added - RADIO BEACON UNIT and RADIO BEACON ZONE. These allow you to bind an audio file to a unit or a trigger zone and define the modulation setting (AM/FM), frequency, and output power of the signal. ALDEGA Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Could this be used to simulate a radio station, like the one that was broadcasting in older versions of DCS-BS? ;) (loop .ogg file?)
EvilBivol-1 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Oh yes, forgot to mention that the triggers include a loop option. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules

Grimes Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 On a similar vein of thought for a request... "Send message through SADL" trigger action. Can be set to send either to all aircraft from a specific country or to a specific network ID number. Hopefully it would work just like it does in the aircraft where 0012 would send a message to everyone in group 12. Does the KA-50 have a similar capability? I checked the manual and all it has stated is "This page displays the last 20 messages generated by the system or received via the data link". Is that only from the targeting datalink or is there more to it? The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
