'Airshow' Loadout?

I was reading (yet another) thread over in SimHQ about how poorly the hog handles when loaded down, and someone brought up that for airshow performances the not only remove fuel but also a great deal of equipment, which is why when you see them at airshows they are much livelier.

 

As one who spends a fair amount of time just flying the plane and doing aerobatics, I was thinking if we could get a list of what is removed we could get an 'airshow' stripped bird with the equipment weight reductions in addition to the fuel. It would probably also make the people that do video demonstrations happy as well. We'd finally get a chance to go 'hog-wild'!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but if you went into re-arm and then select show the ground crew will fit nothing but 2 smoke canisters on the wing. Then I guess you could set 25% fuel.

They don't remove any equipment as far as I know. They might remove some pylons if that is what you mean. the Air Force Instructions does not specify.

If you look at the pictures on this site, you can see that 6 pylons are removed along with the pave penny. Minus all ammo, chaff/flares, and quite a bit of fuel would make the performance much better than with the extra weight... Although I have tested a few maneuvers with a totally empty jet plus 2500lbs of gas, and it comes pretty close to the real. The biggest issue I have is the pitch up maneuver at the bottom of the gun run pass. Most of the time when I do the pitch as close to what I see in videos (outside and in cockpit camera views from airshows) I end up stalling and getting out of control, or it just doesn't work at all.

The Pave Penny was probably removed earlier, as they're obsolete.

 

And yeah, there's no equipment removed.
