Hi!

I just checked out the single player campaign and could make it until the second mission ;) So, I was shot down and somewhat surprised to see, my pilot is "dead" / deactivated and the campaign stopped. It doesnt seem that I could continue this campaign now. If I create a new pilot the campaign restarts at the first mission. Is this normal? I read about some bugs in the SP campaign, so is it worth going at it? The first missions were quite hard but fun, anyway :)

Is your pilot's profile in the logbook set to be immortal or not? If it's not set as immortal (or maybe it's invulnerable? I can't remember the exact wording) then when dead the profile can't be used anymore.

Ah ok, I deactivated this one, guessing it would make we invincible against AAA/SAM?!

In the logbook, if you set the pilot invulnerable to No, you'll have to restart the campaign if you're dead. If set to yes, even if your teeth come off the windshield, you'll be able to resume the campaign. It is sort of a RL sim issue. But the anxiety becomes bad with invulnerable to NO. If you're hardcore, set to NO, if you want to get over with the cam-pain, set to YES.

Noc

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

No, that's the one in the options screen. The logbook immortal means you don't restart the campaign when you die. (recommended.)

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Indeed - essentially, the option screen makes the plane invulnerable, the logbook makes the pilot immortal. (Note - immortal, not invulnerable, he can still suffer hypoxia etcetera etcetera, all it does is that it doesn't block the pilot from use just because he died once) But even if the pilot is immortal, he can't fly if the plane is in pieces. :P

Another related issue: My campaigns have been reset after I installed the latest version (1.1.1.1) coming from 1.1.0.9. (I did a complete reinstall to avoid patch issues.)

I copied the logbook file, but that only got my pilot with his accomplishments back, but not the campaign progress. Does anyone know which other files should be copied to restore the campaign state to my latest mission?

Thanks,

Mark
