BoneSaw Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 I am making an airfield assault mission and I have 4 CH47s I want to make a touch and go on the target airfield. When I configure the way-point I can set the helo alt to the alt of the runway but the helos never actually touch down nore can I get the speed to zero, it always default to one. Now I know I can configure the helos to "land" on the airfield but if I do that then they don't all come in together, they break off and land one at a time which is not what I need for this mission. Any helpful hints out there? I suppose I could just say the rangers are fast roping in and that's why the helos don't land but I sure would like to know how to get them to do a touch and go.
BoneSaw Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 Damn nothing? I was hoping someone would know.
Krebs20 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Make each helicopter its own group. I had a mission where helicopters and aircraft kept trying to land on the same runway and would crash into each other. Just a thought. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I tried that and they all crashed into each other trying to land at the same time. I guess if there's no solution I'll go with the fast rope scenario.
Druid_ Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Its just not possible to do controlled touch & go's at the moment I'm afraid. You'll have to employ the fast roping method. Use circular orbit and set speed zero, alt as low as poss and set timer for how long you want them to stay in position. I've had to do this in my latest miz under contruction. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
