Dusan56 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 After finishing (or not) the mission, I'd like, as a sort of feedback, watch the track. Mostly to get the idea what the fu.. shoot me down or where I did mistake during landing procedure... What I feel as real pain in the ass is the fact that when you try to compress the time, the game doesn't synchronize well. I see myself shooting missiles to empty areas, while tanks are couple of meters away. I think I've red some posting, where guys from ED stated that's this is inevitable behavior considering how much data must game process, if you're compressing time. So, ED guys, would it be possible, to give as option to watch only couple of last minutes of the tracks with possibility to take control as it is now? It would safe a lot of time. Let me add that, ED has my huge respect for educating us and giving us so much fan.:)
cichlidfan Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) I am afraid that the track does not work like a movie. It is not possible to start anywhere but at the beginning. Unfortunately, you can not rewind a track nor can you jump to a specific time. ... This is, at least in part, due to the fact that the track is not a recording like a video. It is actually a timed record of the actions and events (control movements, weapon launch, etc.) as they occurred. When you play a track, the actions/events are processed and their predicted outcome is displayed. Grimes Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I'd recommend tacview. http://tacview.strasoftware.com/ It allows you to keep track of everything that is happening on the battlefield and you have lots of flexibility of playing it like a movie. The downside to it is the files can get pretty big if its a long flight and that it does record the file in real time. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
