A really cheap UFC for your pit

So I was working on my pit over the weekend and was contiplating putting all the buttons in for the UFC or going with a keyboard to mimick the CDU. I was at Radio Shack getting some switches and went to see what they had in the compact keyboard area. I was with my daughter and she pointed to a USB keypad and said, "Thats pretty small". I remembered I had one at home so decided to give it a shot.

 

You can pick one up on ebay cheap, or spend about 20-25 bucks at a office store getting one.

 

I then got some adhesive paper and created some labels to put on the numbers. I even had an extra buttons, so I used it to arm the ejection seat. With this method I have all my UFC functions I need at my disposal. Here's what it looks like:

 

 

NOTE: I already have a HACK button on my panel so didn't need it on here. But you can put it where I put Arm Seat.

 

It's cheap, it's easy...and makes for better flying. Enjoy!
