flyinfriend Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) Hi, I am trying to run BS on my secondary monitor full screen. I need to set my small monitor as the 'primary' monitor in windows or the touch panel drive/functionality won't work (I am running touch buddy on my 800x600 small monitor). My 'secondary' monitor is 1680x1050 and this is the one I would like BS to display on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Basically I just want BS to show on what is designated in Windows7 as my 'secondary' monitor. Thank you, Tom Edited February 12, 2012 by flyinfriend added more info

flyinfriend Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 No, actually it will only run in full screen mode. In Windows7 while running BS I can't alt/enter it to a windowed mode and even making sure 'full screen' is unchecked in the BS setup window won't let it run in windowed mode. If I could run it in windowed mode I could drag it to my other monitor and then switch to full screen w/ alt/enter. All I can get it to run in is full screen.

You are a bit confused about windowed mode and how it works in DCS but it isn't really worth explaining it. Just remember that Full screen has to be unchecked if you plan on exporting to viewports to a second monitor. There is a way around this but it involves using SoftTH which may be out of your current expertise in setting it up. Please start reading tthese next few links to fully understand what is required for the setup you have and your particular needs. Its a lot of reading and some of the begining posts are out of date and the procedures are updated near the end of the topics but most here can get you going in the right direction once you get a better understanding of the terminology and processes used to make this happen. We need your exact Desktop arrangement ( screen-shot of you windows-properties with explanations would help a lot) And also have a look at this denotation-ware: http://www.scsimulations.com/ Nice that you use the good old touch buddy - but with the solution I have in mind you have to run HELIOS to manipulate the pit -to be able to use DCS in full-screen.- its simply not possible with touch-buddy! Helios runs over a full-screen application when you use SoftTh. more info>> SoftTH NEWS Edited February 14, 2012 by PeterP
