Track IR for video projection

Is there some way of using the Track gear with video projection sims ?

The same way as you would use it with a monitor but to the side not on top of the screen, although that could be also possible.

So I could cip it to the projector screen 3-4 meters away? how about light issues? Can the Ir track in a dark room? although that may not be a big issue with the new projectors allowing more light these days

It should be fine. I've used it as such. I'd recommend TIR 5 with the ProClip.

I can confirm that TrackIR can work with a projection setup. It just comes down to finding a place for the camera to be mounted. In my first simpit layout I had a pc. of square metal clamped to the framework. That design worked but the metal bar did get in my viewing area (although you didn't really notice it).

In my new layout I have a monitor panel w/ MFD's so I just place the camera on top of the monitor.

I used to set mine up facing backwards on a headset and never had a problem with the projector. I placed my ps3 cardboard box on top of my couch and taped the receiver to it. Pretty ghetto, but no problems till the sun came up and filled the room. Then it goes nuts. Very annoying.
