Dave317 Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Is it right that mavericks should only fire from one wing before using the other side? It doesn't seem right as the it can get quite unbalanced. Is this how it is or am I doing something wrong?
Eddie Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Yes. Correct as per the real aircraft, station 9 will launch all missiles on a LAU-88 first followed by 3 is both stations are carrying the same missile type. Although you can cycle through the missiles using China hat aft short (missile reject) with Mav as SOI, should you wish to get around the station priority.
Dave317 Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Thanks for the reply. Is there any reason for this? Seems a bit strange.

Aww so mean. I don't want to reject my poor little Mavs, just don't want to tumble wildly after sending a few on their way and they all jumped off one side of my aircraft. heh [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
BlueRidgeDx Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Thanks for the reply. Is there any reason for this? Seems a bit strange. The Rapid Fire function of the Maverick is actually resident in the LAU-88, not in the missile. If DSMS stepped to the other station after rifling a maverick, the next Mav would be looking at the boresight instead of the target area.
