Hello everyone,

 

I'm playing on DCS a-10C since a long time. I've always hosted my server to play with my friend.

But since the 28 February 2012, my server is listed after several minutes ( 20-30 minutes at least ) after I start it.

And during all this time, he can't even join it by IP.

 

The error message received by him when he try by IP is " server ping time out".

 

I've always hosted my server and never had this problem since the 28 and I've nothing changed in hardware.

 

I've try with an other installation of windows and to reinstall the game.

 

 

Edit: chaned the dcs.txt to the correct one ! sorry

 

I really need help, it makes me crazy to wait 30 minutes to play

 

I attach the DCS.txt (which is DCS.log) of my last running server, my friend never saw this one in the serverlist or even join it by ip.

He is back? Last day PVAF crashed several times.

Do you have crash log?

 

It's red alert for server admins - looks like DoS

Last crash log attached.

But sorry but I don't have crash log, the game doesn't crash, the server just take several minutes to completely start.

We have experienced attacks against our dedicated server. I'm not sure if it's global DCS problem.

I hope it's global and that it will be resolved.

I've tried everything, change lan IP, and making DMZ, using an other router, stopping the lan bridge on the modem to the router, ...

 

I'm worrying in the hope to host again my server :s

Yeah - I misread your post. Apologies :)

 

You running behind a router? Seem to recall a couple of issues relating to routers.

I keep searching on this problem for the moment.

 

I can access to the server via telnet but friend can't via direct ip: server ping time out

 

It's making me crazy, if someone could help me more please lol :crash:

 

 

Edit: Yes, I am but the router is doing the modem's job, I've done a bridge from the modem WAN to LAN port 1. This way the router receive the WAN adress correctly and not a false LAN adress. So, when i host a game my lan ip is 192.168.2.32 and my WAN is 87.67.xxx.xxx ( dynamic ip ).

 

I've always hosted this way and it was working for a couple of months. but the 28th, the problem appears suddenly.

 

 

Seems, to me, to be a problem of script loading too late ? Is it possible ?

Server name dropping from master server list?

Poor mp stability?

server ping timeouts?

client ping timeouts?

No Direct IP or multiple same server listings in History?

 

~join the queue for 1.1.1.2. It's a known problem and one that has / is being addressed by the team. we hope.

Problem seems to be resolved after rebooting the modem ( which is not really in used exepted for bridging the WAN to the LAN of router ) physically, so removing the electrical outlet, it seems to work.

 

 

I'll keep you informed about this.

same problem here, worked fine but since same time as u say we have had the problem, all join other servers but if any of us host joining the games does a timeout error message at end of mission load on client.
