Hi guys,

I've got quite a problem here with Bs2.

First i'll describe whats happening.

After setting keys+buttons, graphics settings, i fire up -instant action -Arcade- for a test.

I lock the nearest ground target and fire off a missile.

This results in a crash "weapons.dll" and then sends me back to the main menu.

I have found that the lower graphics setting helps (less crashy), but does not cure the issue.

Have also tried single screen resolutions, disabling Crossfirex,

reverting previous video drivers etc etc doesn't help.

Specs are

Win7 64 8Gb I7-950 2x Ati 6970 3x Samsung 2494hs X-fi Catalyst 12.2

Bs1 on steam no issues

Bs2update 1.1.1.1 no fun :(

Any help on this matter would be kind.

For the record, i can play the game, just not allowed to fire missiles!! :]

Thanks for the reply,

I had searched the forums before posting, but i found more issues related to multiplayer.

However the issue in that post was a bit different.

My game loads up without incident.

It's when i lock then fire a missile on a ground target that i have manually selected.

The moment i fire the missile it spits me out with the weapons.dll error

Even if i use mouse and keyboard for fallback.. lock+missile=crash ??

BS1 however is perfect, aside from a few eyefinity blemishes.

The only thing i have not tried is a format reinstall:helpsmilie:

Ok so formatted and reinstalled, just the display and sound drivers.

reinstalled the game fresh, and got exactly the same error.

I'm at a loss here, is there a possibility one of the hosts for the installation files are guilty?

worth trying one of the other applicable sources?
