No really, who would say these aircraft do not look similar?

 

Me. Even if you only consider the profile view... Low wing vs high wing? Tail with a very high taper ratio? Squared vs tapered intakes? Position of intake relative to canopy? Fineness of nosecone? An... extra cockpit? :smilewink:

 

 

You could say any aircraft looks similar if you want to, I suppose.

Have to agree with Aaron. The AVRO ARROW is no way near similar to the Dart. It is even almost twice(almost) it's size as well.

 

Probably one of the reasons the ARROW was cancelled as well. U.S. wanted to sell this aircraft badly and the Arrow was too much for it. U.S. sells aircraft not Canada this young upspring dare out do us,Politically thinking. Plus the useless Bomarc.

Both pretty big though... ~70 feet for the 102, about 80 feet for the CF-105.

Thanks for pointing those differences out I see them now.

However similar does not mean alike:music_whistling: I was simply referring to the shape and silhouette
