Yes, Wings Over the Rockies is still open, I have done volunteer work there in the past on their F-111. I even regularly perform maintenance on their flying exhibit, the Douglas C-47 (DC-3). If they have a B-58 there, I'll definitely have to go back (its been a few years), because all they had last time, in the way of jet bombers, was a B-52, a B-1A, and a B-57.

No im not stationed at ft carson...i just live out here in the springs. Been out a few years because of a bad hernia I suffered a few years ago.

this thread just got me on some nostalgic reflections here. I just realized ive seen 5 of the 20 SR-71's...and even seeing 1 is rare. Been to the Hill AFB museum back when i was 15, March AFB in Southern Cali, another one in Balboa Park in San Diego, one in the johnson Space center years ago, and another one I cant remember.

NP, Star. Nope, apparently still no B-58...I don't remember them ever having one, maybe it was a temporary exhibit. Here's a link...http://www.wingsmuseum.org/aircraft.php

I saw almost 5 SR-71s a week when I lived between Plant 42 and ED in 1989. They were making their final approach (final having a very significant meaning in this case, because it truly was final :( ) to be decomissioned at Plant 42.

I just spoke with a friend of mine that informed me that the B-58 sn 55-668 was only housed temporaly in Denver for one year. Then was moved to Ft Worth. TX then to get this, Galveston Tx. at the Lone Star Flight Museum http://www.lsfm.org/status_board.html which is only 35 miles from me. OMG its stalking me!! LOL

I remembered that they had one of the ejection seats from the hustler on display, and I remember that huge fuel tank that the Hustler carried. That fuel tank is bigger than most fighters.

Here photos of it http://www.b-58hustler.com/668.html here at Galveston.

Check out the bird strike in second pic http://www.b-58hustler.com/budpict1.html

Crazy, I ruined the thread not really even fond of the 58, LOL.
