draven Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I'm trying to get the Flaming Cliffs 2 - 3-monitor setup going and am having absolutely no luck whatsoever. I've tried contacting the tech support, but they referred me to the forums. I have 3 monitors, all the exact same model, size, etc. They are all running at a resolution 1680x1050x60. The center monitor is on a more powerful video card, while the left and right are on a slightly less powerful card. I have run through the different configurations I could find on the forums here as well as Google, but no matter what I do, the game doesn't seem to want to draw from one monitor to the next. I ran through the SoftTH configuration, which didn't seem to have any effect on the game at all. I also ran through configuring my own custom monitor setup similar to the 1-Camera.lua and 3Camera.lua configs. What I get when I do this configuration is the game running on my center (primary) monitor, but split into 3 vertical sections. The way this is, it looks like if I could just stretch the screen across the rest of the monitors' space, it might actually work. I also tried to simply just use the "3 Screens" setup that's available in the graphics options, but that had the same effect as trying my own monitor configuration script. I'm not sure if I'm just missing something or what, and I'd really, really like to get this working. If anyone has some way that they would be able to help, or offer some advice that might help, I would appreciate it a ton. Thanks a bunch!

draven Posted April 16, 2012 Author Posted April 16, 2012 One of the problems I ran into while going through the configuration here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 is that the final step (in game) is to type in your total resolution into the resolution field. This is not possible- with my version of the game, the field is non-editable, only a drop-down box with pre-set values is available.
lazduc Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Multi monitor You have not given enough information.....computer graphic cards?? Operating system, memory, what output channels are you using?? Are you using the game port or the hdmi....or what? Type of displays?? Are you using a triple head to go interface?? What type cables???What games are you trying to play? Can you see, and I am going to assume you are running windows 7 of some version, the windows desktop across all 3 displays?? Lazduc
PeterP Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) One of the problems I ran into while going through the configuration here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 is that the final step (in game) is to type in your total resolution into the resolution field. This is not possible- with my version of the game, the field is non-editable, only a drop-down box with pre-set values is available. As Lazduc already wrote: giving us a insight about your desktop arrangement / monitors you are using , plus info about your OS would help us a lot to help you. Whatever - Please read this: (It will also explain how to change the resolution in the options by editing a config-file) A simple step-by-step instruction how to set SoftTH up with a triple-head configuration: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.ph...61#post1135561 Keep in mind that you will have to look for the appropriate files in a different Path as I wrote this for DCS , but it's almost the same procedure . And of course just don't copy blindly the used resolutions in this instruction - use the values your system is using!! Even if you will not use SoftTH - the instruction above should teach you enough to set up FC2 in windowed mode , using all your available screens. And a important notice : Fullscreen mode will only work if you able to set a "unified Display" containing all monitors using Eyefinity / NVIDIA Surround and/or SoftTH Windowed mode is the solution when you are not able to create a unified display group. Setting the 3Monitors mode in DCS will not enable automatic your other screens for the simulation - some tweaking as mentioned above beforehand has to be done! And here is some Info about the 3screen/1screen render mode of DCS/FC: "3 monitor" camera... Edited April 17, 2012 by PeterP
