junae Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Hi guys, I'm having a very strange problem in lockon... I use a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick, but I can't trim the aircraft with keyboard... Except for the A10, all other planes "ignores" my trimming. I already tried to remap keys (to CTRL Arrows) with no success! It's kind of a boring thing to fly all the time with the stick pulled back (my hands and fist gets hurted, LOL). I I press the trim up a lot, the stick (which has a force feedback) starts pulling to left (!)... in other words: weird!!! I don't know if it's related to FF or what. Do you know how to disable FF in a .CFG file (or .LUA)? I tried doing it in the control panel but then I got no center return... Thanks for ANY info. =FN= Six o'Clock Member of Falcões da Noite Squadron Florianopolis :: Brazil
airea Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 I have similar problem, which seems to be a bug. When I map the buttons of the joystick for trimming, and when I press them during flight, the stick tries to pull left, instead of acting as trimmed for elevator. Then I realized that, the game sets the trims for other buttons of the joystick. For example, when I map button 3 and 4 for elevator trim, the game sets 5th and 6th buttons for elevator, and vice versa. I found no solution for that, except making the exact opposite selection for the trimming that the game weirdly does itself. So when you want button 3 for elevator up trim, set for example button 6 for it and you will have it. Try different combinations:)
Guest ruggbutt Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Do you have software for the joystick that allows you to assign which keybinds you want to the joystick? Also, check the menu in LOMAC and go to the controller section. Pulldown your MS Joystick in the menu and make sure your commands are mapped properly. If you're using keybind software for the joystick, make sure all the joystick commands in the LOMAC/controller/joystick menu are erased. This should fix your problem.
junae Posted October 4, 2005 Author Posted October 4, 2005 What I can't understand is: The A10 works fine (with my trim keys) but every other planes not! It's very strange, i'll try to remap the trim keys to my joystick and see what happens... =FN= Six o'Clock Member of Falcões da Noite Squadron Florianopolis :: Brazil
