I'm sorry if this is a crashingly obvious question but in that keyboard command list you kindly posted, Nate, why are the commands listed on the left in blue repeated three times? What is the modifier listing for? Are the quotation marks significant?

 

I just need to know so I can map the simplest flight control functions (such as setting up the trim hat) into a CH profile and I'm not sure which command to input. Thank you!

One more quick question: All the key listings have modifiers; why is this? Are they not designed to function as a straight (unmodified) keypress?

Not all of them. There are a number of functions that work from a single keypress.
