Saitek X52

[SIX oclock]

Hi buddies,

 

my saitek X52 is on the way, i can't wait to try it... But since I don't use it yet, can you give me some directions on where I can get a good profile for it?

 

it's easy to find a X45 profile but I never found a X52...

Don't use the one on Saitek's site. It rubbish.

 

I looked at a couple (but as you say they're thin on the ground), unfortunately I can't remember where I got them from for the life of me, and I haven't got them anymore.

 

Eventually I sat down and set up one that suited my needs (and a couple of changes I've made to the default key asignments) and learnt the profile editor at the same time. Took a while and a bit of frustration, but it was worth it in the end.

I agree with Jester. Customize your own profile, you can lay everything out in a way that makes sense to you. I fly a2g almost exclusively and other profiles I've tried had too many extra commands that I wouldn't use much. On my own profile, not a key is wasted, and for commands I don't use often it is no problem to hit a key on the keyboard.

Yep, I think the same way. However I've moved some keycommands that require pressing multiple keys to Nostromo n52 controller as macros.

Still thought, bout X52. It is the best to make own profile.

Thanks guys, actually I'm interested on a profile so that I have a starting point, I know I'll need to make some tweaks to suit my tastes, but then I can shortcut the whole process...
