My monitor is starting to give me issues, which means I'll be upgrading in the not-too-distant future. I just read through a rundown of the two competing technologies on TH, and I feel relatively informed.

Now I have to make a choice about which standard I'm going to go with. Before I make that choice, I'm wondering if either of them work well with DCS, and if there are any plans from the developers regarding these technologies in the near future. DCS is my primary recreational computer activity, so I want to make sure that whatever I get will work with it.

Any and all advice, questions and comments are appreciated =)

DCS is not responsible for the standard you use.

All will work well as long your GPU manufacture provide the drivers that will work with your hardware - DCS has only to follow the DirectX SDK.

Here is more info to give you some background info how a stereoscopic 3D image is drawn: 3D Vision supported! Awesome screenshots! - start at post #22 to get some insight about possible issues (

Further:

To solve issues to force resolutions that your display wants - but windows doesn't provide without the 3D plug-in being active: 1280x720 support
