Hi guys, the lovely new BS2 has got me back in helos again. Its been a year or so and I have some issues getting set up again. I have a warthog and have downloaded and installed the Dragon profile, set my rudders to the right axis etc. However, when I load up free flight, the joystick pitch is pointing me straight at the ground as the mission starts. If I pull back straight away I can avoid lawndarting the helo, but it appears that centre position for my joystick is equating to fully forward in the sim and fully back in the stick on my desk equates to centred in the sim. I have tried resetting the trim, no difference. The rest of the axis and controls seem to be working as they should.

I should add that I have tried trimming and it makes no difference, I bring the helo level, press trim, release the stick and it just pitches down again and can only be recovered by keeping the joystick pulled fully back..

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Mark

Hi, thanks for the reply, but i don't think either of those are the issue because the axes are functioning correctly in the device analyser and in other sims. I have the axes set as follows:

collective= joy Z on the throttle

Throttle = slider on the throttle

cyclic pitch = joy Y on the joystick

collective roll =joy X on the joystick

rudder =joy z on the rudder pedals

there are no other axis assignments

Everything seems to function fine, except to fly level, I have to hold the joystick completely back. I tried it while running my warthog profile for Falcon4 and while all the buttons etc did not work as they should ( obviously), the joystick worked fine for pitch and roll. I am wondering if it is something in Dragons profile ?

Hope that helps identify

Thanks, Mark

I have an issue with my G940 stick i think and it doesnt allow me to set the trimmer switch to my stick or throttle which is very strange and very irritating as i have to use the key board for it. any help is much appreciated. ^_^

Hi Bucic, The install is box fresh, never did any controller set up before on it, I just installed the game and then dragons warthog profile.

Oh, and I meant cyclic roll... ( although I guess you knew that..!!)

Appreciate the advice and looking forward to being able to fly the helo...sometime soon..!

Would I be better suited asking in the controllers section?

rgds, Mark

I'm sorry, but the only advice I can give you is 'try as clean as you can'.

As for the right section - IMO it would be better to move this topic to the input&output section. I took the liberty of asking moderator to do it. Will it be done? I don't know. Should you start a new topic in the input&output section? I don't know neither.

Hi markturner1960,

Please download the profile again. (Maybe there was a error while download and the file is damaged)

Then load the profiles one by one for each device-column.

If this is not working... hm... -> Reinstall.

Hi Dragon, I will try that. Just to confirm, i don't need to use the target software at all, I just highlight a column in the throttle section, click load profile and point it at the throttle.lau file. Then repeat for joystick and keyboard, correct?

Do I then need to save the profile? Do my axis assignments look correct to you?

I will also try with another profile.

Thanks, Mark

Bump?? Any ideas anyone??
