Grab Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 When Kato announced to us a few nights ago that he was going to retire from the Virtual Blue Angels he gave us each an opportunity to say a few words. I was speechless. I made this video to convey how I felt, as words could not do his contribution and friendship justice. It is with a deep amount of sadness that the Virtual Blue Angels announce the retirement of Bob "Kato" Tyler from the Virtual Blue Angels. Bob was one of the founding members of the team in 2004 and has been on the team since then. The team would like to thank Bob for his 8 years of leadership, friendship, and camaraderie. Without him, the VBA would not have gotten as far as it has. Bob, you will be missed! "Once a Blue Angel, always a Blue Angel"
Blaze Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Over the past 8 years, Kato really helped start and define the community of virtual formation flying into what it is today. I have a lot of respect for him as a leader, pilot and fellow modder. Great video, a fitting tribute! i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. marcelbrabson Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Goodbye I've enjoyed watching you perform with the team over the past few years. You and Lawndart helped show the everyone that Lockon is not a game. It's a simulation.
