Yes, you will want to install the latest driver:

2011_TMHW_1.exe

I received my new Warthog on Thursday.

I installed the driver, then it prompted me to plug in the joystick and throttle, plugged it in, then it finished installing the driver.

After all the driver install was finished, I then checked for firmware updates. My joystick was already the latest - 11, but my throttle was 19 - so I chose to update it's firmware to version 20.

Once all that was done, I installed the TARGET software and started playing around with it, created a profile for one of my very simple flight sims. For A10-C of course, that is not needed as it assigns it all within the sim. Of course you do not have to have the TARGET software to run the Warthog, it will be seen as a direct x controller by most flight sims. But with Target you have a lot more flexibility by creating profiles, handy for adding extra commands to individual buttons, setting curves and dead zones , etc. But the script - profile - you create, has to be running in the background for it to work in the flight sim it was created for. This is different from the previous stick from TM the Cougar - which downloaded the profile into the stick's memory itself.

You may already know all the above, thought I would mention just in case.

So far all is working really well with my new Warthog, I am very pleased.

Thanks so much for your advice, this help me a lot. I've just got mine yesterday and really don't know much about it. By the way, this mean that the DCS A10 already set up the button for it and no need the profile but if I want to use another profile, I've to load the profile via the TARGET before run the game.

Exactly. You really don't need a profile for DCS A-10C though, at least that is my impression. Only thing I changed from the controller assignments, was mapping my trim to my POV hat - as I have Track IR.

But you are certainly free to create/use one should you wish!
