bluepilot76 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Hi, Early days I was going online to get my kicks in the stang. Everyone is new so its pretty easy to be a steely eyed killing machine. Now I cant get on online so have had to mix it with the AI. Oh dear! Are they modeled correctly? or do I just need to up my game a bit? He certainly seems to make no mistakes (actually he has dived into the sea a couple of times, and also a few stall/spin, but maybe the latter was intentional) Alternatively is my 'stang modeled correctly? I realise its beta! it bucks, stalls and spins at the first sign of a turn at 20k. Meanwhile the AI is pulling into chandeles as if he is a Mig29 in disguise. Whats the deal? Yeah I should probably search... Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... GTX460m 1.5GB ... 8GB DDR5 RAM ... Win7 64 ... TIR5 ... Thrustmaster T16000m
TimmyD Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Try a bit of flaps when dogfighting (combat flaps) stops it bucking and power stalling as quickly, you get a lot more warning. bluepilot76 Posted May 21, 2012 Author Posted May 21, 2012 Thanks Timmy I will try it, but doesn't seem right to me; I dont know what the flap limiting speed is but Im sure Im trying to turn way above that, and I doubt the extra drag from the flap is going to help me to suddenly catch up with the AI.
