Dimebag Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Hi all, I am currently building a custom cockpit for the Virtual Roulettes formation flying team. What I want to do is add a pilot model with movable arms which follow the stick and throttle movements when viewed from the first person view in cockpit. I have managed to animate the stick arm within 3ds Max to follow the stick using bones, Ik solvers and skin modifiers. I used an arg based animation on the Ik solver, however when I export and test in game there is no arm movement, only the stick. I am guessing fc2 does not support these features for animations? Does anyone have any idea how this can be achieved? If there isn't any other way I might have to animate each arm joint separately, however that would be extremely tedious, and the use of bones for the animation would help immensely. I appreciate any input, however I do realise this might be an irregular query. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Find us at http://virtual-roulettes.forumotion.com/

No, .LOM does not support bones and skeletal animations, only .EDM format which doesn't work in FC2. Does anyone have any idea how this can be achieved? Animating each joint separately I can tell you is the only way to acheive this. What I did for our cockpit was instead of trying to have the arm match up with the stick, link the hand to the stick, so the whole arm moves, then just try to match up the shoulder with the pilot body, much easier that way. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement.
