Zakatak Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I have A-10C on Steam, but I haven't played it in awhile. Now that I have a new PC, I want to redownload it along with DCS World. Will the CD Key I was given function for the non-Steam version? So to do this I would have to: 1. Download all the DCS World .bin files on Downloads > Software > P-51D 2. Download all the DCS A-10C .bin files on Downloads > Software > A-10C 3. ... Is this right so far? What do I do after that?
cichlidfan Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Yes, your steam key will work. DL the files. Make sure to get the exe not just the bin files. Run the World exe. Then run the A-10 exe. Then start an A-10 mission and it will ask for your key. Make sure the A-10 is v1.1.2.1 and not the old standalone v1.1.1.1 ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Zakatak Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 The .exe files are only 1-2Mb and require you to have a disk to use. Do you download the .bin files, then use the .exe file to install them?
EtherealN Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Follow the download instructions on the download page: "All 5 files should be downloaded and put into one folder before launching setup. Filenames are of importance." http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=18&end_pos=135&lang=en Note: if you do not intend to fly P-51D, ignore the P-51D file. Then download and install the A-10C_1.1.2.1_EN.exe file at the bottom of this page: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=135&lang=en [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
cichlidfan Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 DCS World consists of one exe and 3 bin files. Put them in the same folder and run the exe. It will install world. A-10 constists of one exe (and it is much larger than 2MB). Run that exe to install A-10 into World.
