I got level at 35000ft and went full burner with a completely clean jet, didn't even have the pylons. Could only reach mach 1.79, which lines up well with the advertised 1.8. Feels right to me.

To be honest, considering we are flying these planes in totally fictional scenarios, often in major wars between NATO and Russia, having a slightly fictional modification done to the aircraft (which could and would be done fairly easily) wouldn't bother me. Giving this plane more than 2 A2A missiles would make it a lot more useful.

Just to clarify, the Viggen does not have any A2A missiles besides the Sidewinder, right?

I don't need VPC statics any more? Because I just crashed DCS trying to load mission 3, and I forgot to download them.

How many AIM-9's can this version carry? Can it use 9M's?

Can the F-5 being simulated only carry 2 AIM-9's? Also, is it the APQ-153 or 159 being simulated?

This works absolutely terribly on IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad by default. It won't detect the "joystick" inputs from my eyes when I'm trying to set up controls, so I'll have to set it up via notepad files. Still haven't tried it on DCS.

Shame you had a bad experience, I loved driving this one. The owner put in a rear sway bar and new steering rack to help with the torque steer. Very forgiving clutch. Didn't stall it once despite only have 3 hours or practice on an old truck! I was a little disappointed that the RM8B turbofan couldn't bring her up to Mach 2.1 as advertised. And where are the weapon systems? :lol:

I'm going to be beta testing the Viggen tomorrow, I can't wait! (a Saab 9-3 Viggen but that's pretty much the same thing, right?)

And if that's the case, his there any chance the groundcrew will be able to jury rig a "RWR volume" knob for us, so we don't have to pop the circuit breaker for it?

What comes with the Open Beta, aside from the aircraft itself? Quickstart guide? Full manual? Instant action? Single missions? Training missions? Campaign? Etc?

So from what I've heard and seen, the current start up sequence is lacking the INS alignment procedure. I've also heard it quoted several times that this alignment can take up to 10 minutes. If this is true, and it has to be done on the ground, could you include a "quick align" option in the Special options menu for the Mirage 2000 which could reduce the time to, say, 1 minute?

My birthday is on the 17th. If it could come out then, that'd be great. :P

Any chance you will get to make use out of the police light for night interception? I'm sure you want to, I'm just curious if it's possible from a programming and graphical standpoint. They already said it would.

Paste all the .miz files and the .lua named "lessons" into a folder named "Training" which is located here. /Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World OpenBeta/Mods/aircraft/MIG-21bis/Missions/EN*/ *or whatever language you use You can delete or back up all the files currently inside before doing so. I selected 6 training missions at random and all of them seem to work fine, but let me know if there are issues. LN is free to use it in an update if it works well. training.zip

So would a Strategic Support mission be something like, say, equipping two large wing tanks and a GBU-24 so you can haul it deep into enemy territory while hiding from SAM's and air defenses? Because that sounds like it could be fun. Runway bombing would be something unique as well, which the BAP-100 is designed for.

Okay, so it installed successfully. Where do I input my key? It let me start an instant action without one, but I imagine I'll have to do so at some point. The module manager tells me I don't have a key, but it doesn't let me write it in. EDIT: nevermind, found it in the MiG-21 bin folder. No problems. Thread can be shut down now.

I funded the Indiegogo and got my registration key in Fall 2014, but stopped playing some time in the Winter. Because I didn't buy it on the DCS website, I don't have the option to just install it from module manager in version 1.5. The download on the DCS website is for 1.2.16 which obviously doesn't work. So as of now, I can't download it and play it on 1.5. I have my old key from 2014 for verification, but obviously I'm not going to post it here. How do I get it? EDIT: to clarify, I would have PM'd Cobra instead if I could, but your inbox is full.

Great catch. I reckon the rest looks something like this? Airliners.net says this is the Swiss version of the plane. Do American-made ones look like this too?
