MadTommy Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I need some help lads... i have a problem that has arisen and i can't figure out how to resolve it. All of a sudden my PC (win7 x64) sees my X52pro & mouse as the same device it would seem in game. Let me explain. I use my mouse (razer copeprhead) thumb buttons for TrackIR pause & precision, mouse buttons 4 & 5. Have done for years. Now when in game if i press buttons 4 or 5 on my x52pro it pauses or puts TrackIr into precision mode. Very annoying, as trackir pause & a10c autopilot are now the same button! If i press the offending mouse buttons with the Saitek X52 pro Flight Controller 'Test' tab up it does not register as an input. i.e out of game the mouse and controller are not seen as the same. And pressing the x52 buttons 4 or 5 does not act as mouse buttons 4 /5 out of game either. So far i have reinstalled drivers for both mouse and x52. Out of game they seem to be working fine. But it is affecting all DCS products. I don't know what the hell to do... or what caused it in the 1st place. Any help or input would be much appreciated. Thanks. i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. TM Warthog, Saitek combat pro pedals, TrackIR 4
Panthro Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 (edited) have you tried changing USB slots? are they both on a USB hub? I hear the X52 software can do strange things maybe try a reinstall. ps dont forget to post what version of windows etc. etc. Edited June 21, 2012 by Panthro because [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic86362_2.gif[/sIGPIC]
cichlidfan Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 (edited) The 'problem' is that the TIR software does not identify devices only buttons. If you connect six USB controllers with buttons that send DX then TIR will see each 'button 1' as the same button regardless of which controller is sending it. It is a limitation of the TIR software that you just have to deal with. EDIT: I have no clue why you have not seen this problem in the past. TIR direct to mobo, x52 into a usb port on a front panel multicard reader. Using Windows 7 (x64), mentioned above. Thanks for the suggestion, i'll try switching usb ports about. EDIT: As a workaround i'll have to program my mouse buttons to some random keystroke and setup TIR accordingly..
