mark_t50 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Hello :) First post, and I'm guessing my question is probably very silly, but please be gentle. So, I have a copy of BS from ages ago, and I've just purchased BS2 upgrade as well as A-10C. Just been reading up on this DCS World and it sounds great. The problem is I feel completely lost with regards to what I install and in what order  I have nothing whatsoever installed on my system at the moment, but I'm in the process of downloading the various install files from this website. Is there a specific order or way in which I should install so that DCS World will work ? Is it for example something like the following: 1) Install BS1 game files 2) Install BS2 Upgrade files 3) Install A-10C game files 4) Install DCS World Does that sound about right ? Again sorry for being a bit thick, I realized these sims were hard but didn't think I'd get stuck at the install, lol :megalol:
joey45 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) Unforgivably the BS2 upgrade dose not work yet with DCS:World. But fear not young one that it will be compatible after beta . Now. 1) Install DCS: World > this is the core program that EVERYTHING will plug in to. 2) install the dedicated modules of A-10C/P-51*/BS2** *these are the ones at the bottom of the download page that are normally less the 1 gig. ** Only the Full BS2 works but as I said after it is released out of beta [or will it be the next beta... who knows.] the upgrade key WILL WORK. EDIT: Welcome to the Forums. Edited June 26, 2012 by joey45 added stuff..... 1 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. mark_t50 Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Ah, thank you very much, looks like I was doing it completely the wrong way so I'll try it the way you have listed as that seems to make more sense now I see it. Thanks again  I also just ordered the P-51 as well, couldn't resist it after watching the video trailer for it, so I think I'll be happy learning to fly the Hog and the P-51 for now while they sort out how to unlock the BS2 upgrade:pilotfly: 1
