Gary Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Ok - I have used BS1 and A10c (beta) on my system perfectly well before. Been away from the sim for a while but back now. Downloaded DCSW and get crash upon mission loading screen - although GUI loads fine. Intergrated the A10c DCSW module with same crash upon mission loading (any mission btw) Now in reading in this forum that DCSW needs a 64bit OS?? Can someone clarify if this is so please?? I'm happy to use the standalone versions of BS and A10c but it it would have saved me a lot of download time if the above is correct to have made that very clear on the download pages (which are still hard to find too btw) Kind Regards, Gary I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
Jona33 Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 At this patch you need 64bit. Wait for 1.1.2.2 or use 1.1.1.1 Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 There is a bug in the current Beta version of DCS:-World that stops it working on a 32bit OS - should be ok for the next Beta. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

Jona33 Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Here. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=135&lang=en Ignore the file that says 1.1.2.1 at the bottom. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Gary Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 1.1.1.1 is the standalone clients for A-10C and BS :) So to confirm - I need to stick with the standalones for each at this time? Does anyone know if DCSW will be patched or will it require a complete reinstall to enable 32bit use? Nate, Thanks for the reply - can I suggest this is made clear on the download pages please - I just spent best part of the day deleting my old standalone installs - cleaning my system up - downloading DCSW and A10c modules!!!! Now looks like I need to start again with the standalone downloads and reinstall them!!! Kind Regards, Gary I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
Gary Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 Jona, Many thanks for your help. Yep back on the download trail for both standalones at this time! Kind Regards, Gary I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1

DCSW will be patched to 1.1.2.2 and that should fix 32-bit compatability if i have understood correctly :)
Gary Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 Raxha, Thanks to you too for your kind help. Perhaps admin could relabel this thread as "32bit OS owners read here" and make sticky?? Kind Regards, Gary I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
