redx_7 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 After upgrading to bs2, ive noticed that the shkval (height to head level) is in a slightly differnt postion to bs, im useing trackIR 5, and i cant seem to look lower and level, in a comfortable position, as before in bs, has anybody else noticed this? or do i need to adjust the trackIR, thanks for any advice (S)bs2 shkval.trkbs shkval.trk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://justforlaughssimulation.weebly.com/ It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. Kite Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 did not notice nothing different. But i can remember bad. was a little time ago now that i have bs2. Can not remember cockpit of bs1 Hope some one else can help. Anyway i feel unconfortable in bs1 and bs2 look into shkval with zoom in... :-)
Puddlemonkey Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Try setting up snap views that show the SHKVAL zoomed to full screen. Attached lua files give an example. They go in the Config / View folder. This post has an example file: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1390844&postcount=17
PhoenixBvo Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 The (in-game) TrackIR motion envelope has been reduced from BS to BS2. The cockpit itself has not changed wrt the Shkval monitor. By increasing the z axis gain in the TrackIR software you can compensate such that you get into the best viewing position without bending your spine too much. However, a good alternative is saving a snap view for looking at the Shkval. That way you can relax and have the monitor zoomed in to full screen. Got sniped! Huckle Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 There is also the option to change your head position in the cockpit, so you could lower it slightly if that might help, which becomes the default position when you centre TIR. From memory, eyepoint under Server.lua was the configuration to change (obviously back it up first)
redx_7 Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 thanks, snap view works a treat...
