So I've almost had the game for a week and I'm genuinely pleased.

It's been a very long time since I've bought a flight sim, were talking about going back to Janes Long Bow 2 days :(.

One of the things I wanted to do off the bat was take my rusty flight skills up and do a little in-flight refueling. I browsed around and while I found some info most of it was pretty obvious.

So after struggling for a day I finally nailed it when I stopped using both engines and instead focused on just tweaking a single engine to get me in that sweet spot. Worked like a charm. Don't know why I had it in my head that just because I have two engines I have to tweak them both.

Anyways cheese filled vid

Cheers

Hi there

Congrats on your first refueling, pretty nice feeling to "nail" it. And the best part is that you have more challanges to it, night, orbit, "racetrack"

I guess u´re right, two engines gets the brain to think in "pairs" and if tweaking one enginge gets the job done, why not.

Where can I practice inflight refueling?

well,... I would try it behind a KC-10 , preferable mid-air ... :D

BTW:

Did you know?!

A question never sounds stupid!... - it's always the answer that let it sound this way...;)

Serious - Here you can find some practice AAR missions:

http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/

just Filter for "A-10C" and "single mission"

EDIT: Most of the 1.1.1.1 missions will work without problem in 1.2.0.

To make sure that they will not crash - just open them once in the 1.2.0 editor and save them again.
