Evil.Bonsai Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Is there a way to adjust NVG gain when in vehicles? I tried using same commands from A10C but there was no change. At times, the view was very overblown and difficult to see targets. Would also like to adjust 'hud' intensity as well.
diveplane Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 i confirm we need a nvg gain control , and if implemented a ir contrast gain control as well , sights are useless atm with night vision screen below combined arms 1.2.0 https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Invader ZIM Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Some of the vehicles on both sides need Thermal sights on top of the image intensified sights. Newer image intensifiers on the American and European side (made within the last 10 years) have autogating power supplies and don't exhibit the image flaring and blooming you see from those images.
billeinstein Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I think the artillery rounds in the night should be visible with NVG. And the same to A-10C's 30mm cannon rounds. Because their high temperature will make a significant Infrared signature. This was from a video of firing artilleries in Iraq war: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
