Everything you ever wanted to know about the M1 Abrams

After playing with DCS Combined arms, it sort of inspired me to catch up on some of the details of the ground vehicles. I came across this rather interesting site that explains all of the modifications, ammunition, and almost anything you wanted to read about the M1 and all it's variants.

Interesting stuff about the 3rd gen depleted uranium round, and the ability to engage targets at 4km plus. And the 2003 Lessons Learned pdf file at the end of the link is quite an interesting read regarding battle conditions the tanks went through. Figured I'd share for other military enthusiasts out there.

Hey thanks guys, just stumbled on it last night and learned a few things myself reading all that. Certainly tough vehicles that keep getting updated with experiences in the field.
