Has something changed between 1.1 and 1.2? I can't seem to get a stable point lock anymore. The target is within parameters at my 12. I'll test it more and upload a trk when I get a chance.

Strange, I'm not having issues. I do think the distance is reduced at which it can lock up a target, but not by much. In certain conditions I have had a more challenging time to lock a target, but that was due to terrain being in similar "color" as my target. (the TGP couldn't distinguish at the distance I was at)

So I'm wondering if this a tweak for the new release? I had no problems even in non - zoom mode point locking from at least 10 miles out in 1.1.1.1.

It probably was. For instance if you are zoomed in on a target and tracking if you zoom out, while the target is moving, you lose tracking of the target.

I "think" it is more realistic now, but I'm not 100% sure.

You don't lock thing with the TGP, you track things. Just so we don't have any confusions here.

The TGP will try to track what's inside the box when you're in Point mode. When you zoom out, you increase the size of the box. So the moving target you track is smaller, and the TGP software get a much harder task to find out what to track.

Look at TGP videos from YT, at least the newer pods auto detects the size of the moving objects and adjust the size of the box so it's fits perfectly around the moving object. That's not implemented in our pod.

And don't mask the pod when you're in point mode, if you see an M in the lower part, you are masked. And only use point for moving targets, use area for stationary targets.
