grant575 Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Ok I have an issue with running a second monitor or more exactly getting my iPad to grab the mfd's. I have tried Icontrol and Touchcontrol and basically my problem is that to set them up I feel I need an IT degree. The instructions to me feel very technical and long winded, I get into them than after a while my eyes glaze over and I start thinking about my next holiday. So, is there anyone who has experienced the same issue and/or are there any guides or instructions for simpletons like me?
HawkMedic126 Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) can you be more specific with what exactly you're looking to do? also, what is your exact setup (monitor configuration, hardware, etc)? i don't know much about exporting mfcd's to ipad, but i was able to easily setup my 22" touchscreen using tutorials found here on the forum. standby and i'll search for the thread i used to get my setup running. EDIT: i used information from this thread by icemaker. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716&highlight=multi+monitor Edited July 19, 2012 by HawkMedic126 add info System Specs: Intel i5 2500k OC to 4.3Ghz 16GB RAM Asus 1.5GB GTX580 H80 Liquid Cooler Vizio 37" HDTV Compaq 21.5" Touchscreen TM Warthog Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals TrackIR5 Logitech G13
PeterP Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) as already HawkMedic126 mentioned. We need more infos what exactly you want to do and which programs you are using for this job. As it is right now hard to say what exactly your problem is. -Is it setting up/preparing DCS for it ? What are your steps for doing it? -Or is it only the programs for your IPad? Which programs do you use? ...are they compatible with current DCS version you are running? Or have you problems with both steps above ? ... And as I don't know how confident you are in setting up the render-area of DCS . So please have a look here: Dummies Guide for the “MonitorSetup.lua“ This will teach you all the basics to export the MFCD's to the place where you need it. Edited July 19, 2012 by PeterP
