shabo Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I know we can limit the amount of ammo a base has. But how can I edit something like the individual hardpoints and what they can carry. Reason being is I am tired of going onto the WGL server and seeing guys taking 6 mavericks, 6 GBU-12s and 2 GBU-10s a targeting pod, jammer pod, rocket pod and 2 sidewinders as well as the possible kitchen sink. :) I would love to be able to edit my missions so that the a-10 loadouts actually reflect a real loadout that the US currently use in combat. None of this everything and the kitchen sink garbage that you see all over these open servers. Is there a way to edit some lua file for the players aircraft? Personally I would love to tweak this so that if I have a flight of 2 a10s they dont have 12 mavs between the two of them. Would make things a LOT more realistic. Which lets face it, thats why most of us fly this sim, for the realism factor. Grimes Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I agree, I requested for it to be a built in feature a little while back. In the current iteration of the sim I don't know if its possible. Perhaps simply stating a server rule of "Realistic Payloads" and kicking those who don't abide is the only solution. 1 The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. shabo Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 Druid I like that idea as well. I usually edit my loadouts when I create a mission for all the aircraft to reflect something more realistic. But lately when I join I see a bunch of human piloted aircraft with a huge loadout. I think yesterday someone came into the server and loaded his bird somehow with something like 20 GBU-12's !!! I mean really? Those are the type of things that I want to try and do away with. Would be great if we could have this option in a future update.
