Razor5-1 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I am unable to hear anybody on the radio and they are not able to hear anything I am saying over the radio, I set it to B and try to contact ATC but I never get a reply and nobody else hears it. Has anybody got any advice thanks.
WildBillKelsoe Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 jot down the mission ABCD frequencies from the mission planner radio comms tab to your unit. next, ensure the 2 switches to the right side (electrical systems) are powered. last, click the appropriate button for ATC, press PTT and keep holding, request startup, then immediately release at your side static. the ATC should clear you in. _Heater_ Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 In the Mission Editor, you need to setup the radios frequency. Click on your aircraft and select the antenna icon, try this ;) Simulatori: DCS A-10C II Warthog - DCS F/A-18C Hornet - DCS F-16C - VRS F/A-18E - HOTAS: TM Warthog - Cougar \ HP Reverb G2 \ WinWing Panels Tally: I see the degenerate commie who wants to ruin our day.
Razor5-1 Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 So when I join a multiplayer server that hasn't set the frequencies up properly this is the why I can't contact anybody!
WildBillKelsoe Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 most folks on MP talk over teamspeak/ventrillo/etc.. It's less bandwidth intensive compare to encoding in-game and clogging traffic. I'm in Egypt, and I play with folks from Britain, USA, and Germany without hassle on TS. It would be more difficult if it was a VoIP. Razor5-1 Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 I use teamspeak for chat, I'm talking about using the radio to communicate with ATC, so I don't takeoff when somebody is landing! I can't seem to hear any other players ATC communication over the radio or talk to ATC myself
WildBillKelsoe Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I tell you, it's a frequency knowledge issue. Just follow the above 2 posts before my last and you should be up and running.
