mmaruda Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Hi all, it seems that AMD has taken up the gauntlet against Intel once again. http://www.zdnet.com/amd-readies-trio-of-new-eight-core-fx-desktop-processors-for-october-release-7000000952/ What do you think?
Pilotasso Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 They will be entry level value chips. While they are improving on their current architecture Intel has at the same time already done so with their Ivy bridge and are preparing haswell. AMD is trailing in this game. This is bad for the consumer. .
Bearcat Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I think I'll wait till October and get my 8120 even cheaper.. then maybe if the Piledrivers work out well upgrade in a year or two after the prices drop..
