DCS World Module Functionality Issues

Hi,

 

I've installed DCS world as admin and have p-51 and SU-25 working well enough.

 

When I add in the A10 modules and BS2 modules (only the following files are available to me on the site even clicking other's links referring to a 1.2.1)

 

• File Name: KA-50_bsupd_1.2.0.63205.exe
  File Size: 456.18 Mb
  
• File Name: A-10C_1.2.0.63205.exe
  File Size: 734.25 Mb
  

Installed them as administrator and they show in-game but there is no activated campaign for either of them, only P51 and SU.

'Instant action' or 'single mission' only play in a third person mode I dont control, there are no accessible training modules for either.

 

Can anyone help?

Confirm that you have the correct versions installed. As regards the Ka-50, the one you mentioned above is the upgrade module. Did you purchase the BS2 upgrade?

Correct versions are installed, as per bullet points above, confirmed via following your link.

 

I did get the BS2 upgrade and installed BS1 first.

 

However A10 has the same functionality issues.

Very strange.

 

Somebody might come along shortly with a more eloquent possible solution to the issue - I however prefer the Shotgun approach. As such I would advise that you uninstall all previous versions that you have of the SIM, delete the Saved Games folders as well as all other leftover folders and reinstall to see if that cures the issue.

 

Do not worry about activations as those are left untouched by uninstalling/reinstalling.

hmm OK tried that - Installed to default C drive as admin with the above files - World works fine but again I tested with A:10 only, no Instant action A:10 missions and if I launch one via browsing to single mission I can only see others via external cam. Not working at all in World - didnt install BS2 as I wanted to test this.

 

Im concerned that the only files available on the site are the above when I log in also.

Did a total wipe (Not OS), deletion of everything - redownload of all modules including world and gone through the installation instruction step-by-step. Works now - maybe a dodgy download?

Jolly good news :)

 

Yeah, could have been a corrupt file somewhere. Usually a good idea to verify the files after download with a MD5Checker of sorts to ensure file fidelity.
