Hi,

Reading the manual I'm unsure what some options on the DSMS Settings page do. Maybe you can help?

1 - With a low drag MK82 bomb, what does the Fuze Select option do?

2 - With a high drag MK82AIR, I see the difference between Nose and tail (either the chute deploys or not), but what is the difference between Tail only and Nose and Tail?

3 - How do I use the Horizontal Offset? When would I want to use it?

4 - How do I use the Vertical Offset? When would I want to use this?

5 - What do I use the Weapon Eject Velocity setting for? When would I want to use this?

6 - Bomb Rack Delay. What do I use this for and in what situations would I use it?

1. Sets the DSMS RTSE parameters to match the fuse fitted to the weapon, it does not physically change the weapon itself. Of limited use in DCS.

2. In DCS probably none, although I haven't tested it. IRL if you selected tail only the arming wire for the nose fuse would not be pulled on release, which depending on the fuse configuration (ie IFF a tail fuse it fitted or not) may result in a dud weapon.

3-6. These are all calibration settings and are not changed by pilots in fight, they are also not modelled in DCS.
