SEAD help

I don't think this is a bug, but it is a problem for me at least. Well first off, I got the training videos, but they dont work and crash DCS World everytime, but thanks to youtube, I found the SEAD training mission.

 

Im just doing quick missions, learning to fly the SU-25, and have nothing but AAA/SAM set, figure I should be able to get some SEAD practice in....wrong. I've tried it is both arcade/sim mode, and no matter what I do, my missiles dont work. I got the KH-25 MPU and KH-58U loaded with the L-081 pod.

 

First issue I have is the RWR doesnt seem to work. Ill fly right towards the AAA/SAM sites and they will fire at me, but the RWR never turns on, which limits what the L-081 can do, from my understanding.

 

Second, Ill turn on the L-081 pod, place the box over my target, but never get any que at all to launch my missiles, even if Im flying straight towards them. I know from the training videos, they should work anywhere from 40-100km out, if Im flying high enough.

 

I've read through the forums, and havent found any help on this topic. I would like to know what I am doing wrong, if anything, or is this an in game issue?

Sounds like a borked install. That said, could you post a track of the mission and problems you are encountering before resorting to a possible uninstall and reinstall.

Thanks for the reply Viper. I spent a few more hours setting up missions, and the RWR is popping on, but its only tracking active radar sites it seems. I had a mission with the vulcan, linebackers and a few other SAM/AAA sites, but my only two targets were the Patriot STR AN/MPQ-53 and Hawk SR AN/MPG-50. I believe that was the issue I was having earlier and why the RWR wasnt working, as the vehicles loading were mainly vulcans and linebackers, and not an actual SAM. I can post a track still if needed, and again, thanks for the help.

Aye - Vulcan and Linebackers are IR-guided so no warning there. Just be sure to toggle your Sukhogruz on when approaching the FEBA - very handy in dealing with IR missiles.
