I was watching a youtube video of a real A10 performing at an airshow doing loops and pop up manuevers. When I try that in the sim it just does not seem to have the energy and I experience loss of control. Airspeed goes to LOW real fast. Reduced fuel to 2000 lbs and no ordnance. Is there something I need to disable?

Try less fuel and make sure to get rid of the gun ammo.

Afaik real world demo birds are really stripped down, no pylons and a lot of other "superfluous" parts are removed

Some who knows specifics will probably explain more thourghly

System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer

Figured it out. I was pulling too hard on the stick! Eased off and she looped just fine. I sure love this simulator!

Upload a track to the forums. You should be able to do loops, Immelmanns, knife-edge passes, even stall turns (though I doubt that the later is ever performed by real A-10 pilots).

After flying a mission, hit the button "Save Track". The track will be saved in C:\Users\<your account name>\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks. Multiplayer tracks are saved automatically (time-stamped) in .\Tracks\Multiplayer.

Here's a track of me doing some aerobatics at 50% fuel. Your aircraft SHOULD handle like this.

Great!

When I joined my first Falcon 4 squadron, they had this entrance exam to do all these maneuvers- high speed over the top, low speed over the top, 400 knot 360 degree turn at 6 gs, etc... easy! I thought.

After the second or third attempt I was beginning to think it was impossible! That's when I found out how inefficient I had always been with my turns. Before, I had always turned too hard, needlessly wasting energy. All squads should use a similar entrance exam!

You should be able to do loop-the-loops, Immelmanns and reverse Immelmanns with full fuel load, just get up plenty of speed and height and go steady with the stick. I do some untidy stuff below with a control pad after the Kamov bit (fast forward that). Do some low level flying at 50ft too but then crash getting carried away.
