SGT Coyle Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) I want to have a BLUE assault on a position defended by RED. I wan't both sides to shoot it out, but I don't want either side to make any to do damage to the other. I want that privilege to be mine alone. So I'd like to set up a trigger zone, about 200 meters around the action, that will switch all units insid the zone to mortal when the player enters the zone, and back to immortal when the player is outside the zone. Any thoughts? Make that trigger zone 2000 - 3000 meters. Edited September 24, 2012 by SGT Coyle Night Ops in the Harrier IYAOYAS
ENO Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 200 meters isn't much of a zone... But I agree. That way you know the firefight will at least last until you get close! Then again maybe the other idea is to create a larger zone where the ai doesn't activate until you enter it. That way the action doesn't start until you can "see" it. I've also tried to do it where the groups fire in smaller areas- and don't engage the enemy... But that hasn't worked so well- they they shoot at a point NEAR the enemy but don't actually hit it. Anyway keep us posted! "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Grimes Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Set both groups to fire at a point near the opposing group. It should look like a firefight without anything actually getting killed. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. SGT Coyle Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 What about a script call? When zone "A" true , Groups "B" and "R" immortal. When I approach the zone I wanna see Mo Fo's geting poned in the face. Hell breaking loose. Then I put down a few baddies and then let the infantry mop up. LOL this shit is fun! Are there any good docs on lua scripts? Night Ops in the Harrier IYAOYAS
