prok Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) There is one feature that I would like to see online, but it is a question for the owners of any popular servers (51st, 104th, 4C and so on). That every day was restarted at a certain time, for example servman restarts server and starts a new mission strictly at 21:00. That would be a reason to gather for all at the same time to play the mission from beginning to end, not even necessarily agree in advance. So, bombers will know that they will enter and work by the ground, they will be covered by fighters who come just for the covering bombers. Triggers and the forums indicate that a certain mission starts every day at a certain time. Seems to me it would make online battles better. rus text Edited September 27, 2012 by prok ★★★ ★★★
Case Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 In the 51st we've done things like this but for special events such as GCI weekends or MiG-29A weekends. It does improve teamwork a bit, especially during a GCI weekend when it pays off to be on TeamSpeak. As for normal server operation I'm not sure how useful this will be. If there is a crowd people can start a mission vote to start a new mission, which I think will achieve the same as what you are suggesting. There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

This is not way to brings people a common idea. But if you know for sure that at certain times it will restart, and the people will come especially at this time with the general objectives, such as 2 or 3 squads, and many lone wolfs who have interest to play mission (not just fly airquake), this is what motivates people to participate. Mission voting is chaotic phenomenon, and not so many people who know how to use it and why. ★★★ ★★★

An example of this can be seen here (link coming as soon as I can find it). If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
