Geert Hooghe Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Hi, I'm building an airbase at Kutaisi where at a point an AH-64 Heli must take off for airbasepatrol. When i select steady weather, no problem but when i choose the weather to be dynamic with 1 cycloon (-1100), the heli taxis to the other direction of the runway (I think because of the wind) and just sits there : no take-off ! He is NOT too heavy (89%) ! Question : can the wind prevent the heli to take-off ? Thnx

Geert Hooghe Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Yes, if the wind is too strong the Heli will not spool up. You can't control the wind as in "low or high winds". Does the number of pressure deviations lower the wind ?

I honestly would have no idea as I have not tinkered very much with dynamic weather.
