Simplest joystick/gamepad for DCSW?

Hi, About to hit the road for 2 1/2 weeks with my laptop and limited space. What's the simplest joystick/gamepad that might make DCSW playable?? Or should I just reconcile myself to not playing??

I couldn't attempt to enjoy it on the road after trying. Packed a full size stick once but no TIR or pedals and only the laptop monitor. It really was not fun, IMHO.
